News of the Realm: Stanchion reveals "telescopic" device

THE STANCHION - As part of the Stanchions continued attempts of reconciliation with the Empire as it moves further and further away from any and all association with the Remnant Church of True Light, the Imperial Cult has received a prototype of a device that the Stanchion is calling the "Mono-Optical Telescopic Lens", or the "Telescope" for short.

Though in it's infancy, the "Telescope" is a child of the "Monocle" and "Bifocal" that uses a series of different sized lenses in a telescopic tube to allow a person to see far into the distance via a method known as magnification.

Such a device would, for example, permit captains of trade vessels that sail along the Fastheld River the ability to see navigational hazards and do something about them long before they became a problem, or allow members of the Imperial Watch stationed on the Aegis to look far below to the ground to see potential dangers before they managed to reach the wall itself.

Though quite a way off from being released into the public domain for glassmakers to take apart and learn how to build them themselves, the Stanchion is apparently in the process of making a fully functional model as a gift for the Crown Regent.
