Retirement from public life does very little to quell old habits, it seems, though in this case more than a few eyebrows come up at the opinions raised. Yet more stories stream out of the Lode, where Orrendous is very quickly coming to be known as Slowren Nillu.
"A hole! A hole in the Shadow District!" Word of mouth has quickly passed on, in one way or another, this very statement which many swear the former Duke made during one of his latenight visits to the township that saw him born. Some speculate that somewhere in his addled mind, this is a rather insightful view on the current status of the place in question and its passage into Zahir hands. Others assert that the old man was simply referring to a hole in his black pants, a fashion style which he has been known to sport around lately.
Whether true or not, one thing seems to be very certain among the storytellers: the unusually longlived nobleman is finally coming to the end of his road.
Only time will tell, though.
